We must have faith to start a task:
Faith in God, and faith to ask
His help with all we try to do.
Then, at our weakest, our strength renew.
Faith is needed when friends are ill.
Many cannot understand this bitter pill.
Faith moves mountains, so it is said.
God sees that we get our daily bread.
We all have our problems – some large, some small;
but God watches over all.
He knows our weakness, he knows our strength.
His protective arm reaches any length.
Through Jesus Christ his presence we feel.
Then at his feet, we humbly kneel.
Our spirits are lifted, our faith restored;
For only in prayer
Can we reach our Lord.
